MISI BANTUAN BANJIR 2.0 – Terengganu & Kelantan, Malaysia 2022

On 18th December 2022, the heavy rain started to cause big floods in Terengganu and Kelantan, causing over 20,000 people to evacuate. CHILDRITY in collaboration with YAYASAN IKHLAS MALAYSIA, CINTA SYRIA MALAYSIA (CSM), GLOBAL PEACE MISSION (GPM) and IMPACTIVE MALAYSIA initiated a fundraising to help the flood victims in Terengganu and Kelantan. We distributed hot meals, food parcels, emotion kit, hygiene kit, sanitary pads for the women, happy kit for the kids and electrical appliances such as rice cookers and gas.

In Kuala Berang, Hulu Terengganu, CHILDRITY jointly with YAYASAN IKHLAS MALAYSIA team visited few Pusat Pemindahan Sementara (PPS) and did some distributions. We also gave emotional support to the victims by helping them prepared hot meals and did some fun activities with the kids. We then visited few other PPS in Besut, Hulu Setiu and Dungun. Other than that, we also helped to clean the affected houses and schools with the villagers. In Ladang TDM Dungun, we joined Civil Defence Emergency Response Team (CDERT) to deliver some food and necessities to the flood victims whom trapped in their houses. In cooperation with GPM Malaysia, we distributed ready-to-eat food pack to the students in Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA).
