SURVIVE THE FREEZE – Afghanistan

Hundreds of thousands of Afghans, especially in remote and impoverished areas, live in dug houses or semi-underground dwellings. Winter has a profound impact on Afghans living in dug homes due to the harsh conditions and limited resources. The plight of Afghans living in dug homes during winter underscores the urgent need for heating supplies and winter clothing.

  • CHILDRITY will bring hope and warmth to 100 families enduring the brutal Afghan winter in dug houses in Project Hamdard area in Mazar-e Shariff, by providing them with the essential supplies they need to survive the freezing nights and find solace amidst the cold.
  • Each family will be gifted the warmth of survival

             – 2 bags of 50kg charcoal to keep their homes alive with heat,

             – a blanket to wrap their loved ones in comfort, and

             – a heater to push back the relentless chill of winter nights.

  • The distribution of these life-saving essentials will take place from January 27th to 31st.
